Redwood Road Runners is a USATF Masters running club located in Castro Valley, CA.
Our mission is simple - to support our members as well as to promote community in Castro Valley.
And to have fun doing it!
Weekly RUNS
Redwood Road Runners hosts a weekly group run Saturday mornings at Lake Chabot. We meet at the fitness equipment near the parking lot (next to the Turtle picnic area). The typical route is the 8.5 mile inside loop around the lake, but there are options for shorter distances; paces range from 8 to 11+ min/mile, and all are welcome. Afterwards, meet back at the parking area for snacks, stretching, and conversation.
In addition to Saturday morning, there are a variety of other scheduled runs that include sunrise or evening track workouts at either the Castro Valley High School or Canyon Middle school, or longer runs at various locations in Castro Valley or neighboring towns.
See the Club Calendar or our Strava club page for dates/times and locations.
FiRST & THIRD Thursday UNINCORPORATED COMMUNITY RUN / WALK
We have partnered with UNINCORPORATED Clothing in Castro Valley for a bi-weekly Community run / walk. The first and third Thursday of each month we meet at 5:45 pm in front of UNINCORPORATED for a 5-mile all pace out-and-back run to the Lake Chabot Marina -- or a 2-3 mile walk. Afterwards, we'll meet next door at Canyons Barbecue for food, or just to hang out and relax.
